In October, the price of waste plastics in Germany continued to remain relatively stable. In individual transactions, particle manufacturers can increase the prices of high-quality PP and LDPE to offset the small price rise of waste film and crushed materials. The demand for recycled materials in the construction industry is still good.
However, the prices of most recycled materials and particles continue to remain stable. There is no link in the procurement of raw materials, because there is less waste produced by short-time industrial production. This situation does not only occur in the upstream enterprises of automobile manufacturing. Despite the strong economy, some packaging manufacturers also have less waste because they have difficulties in purchasing new materials.
Turkish buyers return to the market
As expected, Turkish buyers appear again in the export market. It is reported that they are particularly interested in purchasing waste films. It is expected that the film orders in Asia will increase in November, especially Malaysia and Vietnam may increase the procurement of waste films, which is caused by the update of EU regulations on the green list of solid wastes exported to non OECD countries. The export to these countries no longer requires prior notice and consent.
