On June 1st, the 2023 Industrial Green Development Conference was held in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.
This conference is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the People's Government of Guangdong Province, and the People's Government of Guangzhou City. With the theme of "accelerating industrial green and low-carbon transformation to promote high-quality economic development", the forum will be held to promote industrial green development through industry finance cooperation, key industries green and low-carbon transformation, and enterprises green and low-carbon transformation. More than 10 international institutions, representatives of foreign governments, embassies and consulates in China, as well as more than 20 Fortune 500 and multinational enterprises, participated in the conference and shared practical experience in green development.
Wang Yonggang, Secretary General of the Recycling Plastics Branch of the China Material Recycling Association and Deputy Leader of the Green Recycling Plastics Supply Chain Joint Working Group (GRPG), was invited to attend the conference and delivered a keynote speech titled "Construction of Green Recycling Plastics Supply Chain" at the "Green Supply Chain Innovation and Development Conference".
In recent years, with the joint efforts of all parties, China's industrial green development has achieved positive results. In 2022, the national industrial added value exceeded the 40 trillion yuan mark, with high-tech manufacturing and equipment manufacturing accounting for 15.5% and 31.8% of the industrial added value above designated size, respectively. The industrial structure continues to be optimized and upgraded. From 2012 to 2022, the energy consumption per unit of added value of industries above designated size will decrease by more than 36%. In 2022, the comprehensive utilization rate of bulk industrial solid waste resources will exceed 52%, nearly 10 percentage points higher than that in 2012. The energy efficiency of steel, raw aluminum, clinker and other unit products is at the world's advanced level, and the energy and resource utilization efficiency will continue to improve.
This conference will also showcase the achievements of industrial green development, focusing on showcasing the achievements of China's industrial green development and international cooperation.
