It is reported that the newly released national standard gb23350-2021 "requirements for food and cosmetics to limit excessive packaging of commodities" stipulates the technical requirements for the packaging voids, packaging layers, packaging costs and other aspects of food and cosmetics, covering 31 categories of food, such as cakes, wine, tea, beverages, health food and so on.
Compared with other foods, the current problem of excessive packaging of moon cakes and zongzi is still relatively prominent. There are problems such as too many layers of packaging, too large packaging gaps, and some even use valuable materials and mix high-value commodities. It is necessary to further refine and tighten the packaging requirements of moon cakes and zongzi.
Liuhongsheng, director of the standards and Technology Department of the State Administration of market supervision, introduced at the press conference that the specific contents of the No. 1 amendment released this time include: reducing the number of packaging layers, reducing the number of packaging layers of moon cakes and zongzi from no more than four to no more than three; Further compress the packaging gap to highlight the compactness of the packaging; Reduce the packaging cost, and reduce the proportion of the packaging cost of commodities above 100 yuan in the sales price from 20% to 15%; Strict requirements for mixed packaging stipulate that moon cakes should not be mixed with other products, and zongzi should not be mixed with other products that exceed their prices.
Zhangxiaofeng, a first-class inspector of the Department of consumer goods of the Ministry of industry and information technology of China, said that the revision of commodity packaging standards was intended to advocate a simple, moderate, green and low-carbon lifestyle, and oppose extravagance, waste and unreasonable consumption.
The implementation date of the standard amendment issued this time is August 15, 2022. Liuhongsheng said that the implementation date will be set for August 15 this year. The purpose is to curb the excessive packaging of moon cakes and zongzi as soon as possible and effectively regulate this year's Mid Autumn Festival market; At the same time, it can enable enterprises to effectively digest inventory packaging and avoid waste and impact on the production and operation order of enterprises.
Huang Min, deputy director of the food production department of the State Administration of market supervision, pointed out that in the next step, the State Administration of market supervision will carry out in-depth control of excessive food packaging, urge food production enterprises to strictly comply with the provisions of the law on the prevention and control of environmental pollution by solid wastes and the mandatory national standards of food and cosmetics required for restricting excessive packaging of commodities, and promote the high-quality development of the food industry.
