As of the end of 2022, the area of recycled agricultural film in Kunming reached 1.967 million acres.

On June 15, the reporter learned from the Kunming Development and Reform Commission that under the background of adjusting measures to local conditions and exploring the construction of a diversified agricultural film recycling system, the recycling rate of waste agricultural films in Kunming reached 83.5%, forming a replicable and promotable "Kunming model".

In recent years, Kunming has explored a diversified agricultural film recycling system tailored to local conditions in order to establish a sound system for recycling waste materials. According to the principle of "government support and multi-party participation", various methods are adopted to establish a system for the recycling and utilization of agricultural films, and to promote the recycling, treatment, and reuse of waste agricultural films; Encourage the development and promotion of agricultural film recycling technology and machinery, and carry out the reuse of waste agricultural films; Support enterprises engaged in the reuse of waste agricultural films to enjoy preferential policies such as land use, electricity use, water use, credit, and taxation in accordance with regulations, and support social service organizations and enterprises engaged in the reuse of waste agricultural films. Kunming reasonably arranges recycling outlets and implements designated stacking and classified recycling. At the same time, efforts will be made to increase the recycling of agricultural film resources, adopting a five level linkage approach of city, county, township, village, and group, to achieve production, sales, use, picking up, recycling, and recycling management.

In the recycling of waste agricultural films, Kunming Supply and Marketing Cooperative system started the pilot construction of rural renewable Recycling and utilization network service in Anning and Shilin, built 41 rural green recycling stations, 2 renewable resource storage and transportation sorting centers, and recycled 647.35 tons of waste agricultural films in Anning and Shilin pilot areas; Pilot the utilization of crop straw resources in Anning, covering an area of 7535 acres with 1930 tons. From January to April this year, Anning recovered 103.62 tons of waste agricultural film and carried out 5699 tons of crop straw recycling.

In 2022, the agricultural and rural departments established a recycling and supervision system network of "county coordination, township scheduling, and village implementation" with the main line of effective recycling and resource utilization of agricultural waste film, gradually improving the "four in one" agricultural waste film recycling and utilization system with the participation of the government, farmers, enterprises, and society. As of the end of 2022, the area of recycled agricultural film in Kunming reached 1.967 million mu, with a usage of 14500 tons and a recycling volume of 12100 tons. The recycling rate of waste agricultural film reached 83.5%.
