China News Network, Shanghai, July 18 (Reporter Chen Jing) At present, consumption has become an important measure to stimulate China's economic growth. The Shanghai Consumer Protection Foundation (Shanghai Consumer Protection Foundation) told reporters on the 18th that it will promote low-carbon green consumption from both supply and demand; Guide consumers to choose rational consumption scientifically by strengthening the protection of the right to know; At the same time, solve the difficult problems of rights protection by supporting public interest litigation and optimize the consumption environment.
It is reported that Shanghai Consumer Protection Foundation is a public welfare organization jointly established by Shanghai Consumer Protection Committee, 6 large enterprises and 1 public welfare foundation. As the only foundation engaged in the protection of consumers' rights and interests in the city, Shanghai Consumer Protection Foundation, by gathering social forces, has realized the diversified supply of consumer protection resources and boosted the construction of Shanghai as an international consumption center city.
In order to promote green and low-carbon consumption and improve the protection level of consumers' right to know in the cosmetics field, L'Oreal China donated money to jointly establish the "L'Oreal Health Low Carbon Special Fund" with the Shanghai Consumer Protection Foundation. This is a special fund of Shanghai Consumer Protection Foundation that focuses on consumer health education in the beauty industry and focuses on promoting "green consumption" in China. It is also the first special fund jointly established by Shanghai Consumer Protection Foundation and foreign consumer goods companies, aiming to jointly build and share a more open, transparent, responsible and sustainable Chinese consumer industry ecosystem.
L'Oreal said that the establishment of the fund not only further reflects L'Oreal's confidence in China's consumer market, but also reflects its commitment to helping Shanghai build a "green and low-carbon" new track, build an "international consumer center city", and contribute to China's "comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development", "3060 double carbon" goals and "healthy China 2030".
It is understood that L'Oreal is one of the largest cosmetics groups in the world, with global sales reaching 32.28 billion euros in 2021. With the increasing awareness of environmental protection and sustainable development in China, low-carbon environmental protection has become one of the important considerations for consumers to choose products and services. The "L'Oreal Health Low Carbon Special Fund" will draw on the successful experience and practices of the international community to promote the establishment of a low carbon scientific evaluation system and a labeling system for products in the domestic cosmetics industry, provide consumers with measurable and comparable information, and promote the industrial upgrading of the cosmetics industry in the low-carbon, green and sustainable aspects.
It is reported that at present, the ingredients of cosmetics are also the focus of consumers when purchasing products. There is also a lot of content and discussion about cosmetic ingredients on the Internet, but many of the information is one-sided and misleading. It is the premise and basis for consumers to guide them to choose rational consumption scientifically to obtain objective, comprehensive and professional knowledge about cosmetic ingredients. "L'Oreal Health Low Carbon Special Fund" will focus on public science popularization activities of cosmetics ingredients, and advocate the concept of healthy and safe consumption.
