Recently, the Inner Mongolia Postal Administration, in conjunction with the Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission, the Department of Ecological Environment, the Department of Commerce, and the Market Supervision and Administration, held a symposium on Overpackaging of commodities and Plastic pollution control in the autonomous region.
At the symposium, each department introduced the treatment of Overpackaging and Plastic pollution of commodities in e-commerce, express delivery, takeaway and other fields, and listened to the report of the participating enterprises on the implementation of the treatment of Overpackaging and Plastic pollution of commodities. The Inner Mongolia Bureau introduced the achievements of the postal industry in the whole region since the Overpackaging of commodities and the control of Plastic pollution were carried out. As of now, the application rate of "slimming tape" and the use rate of recyclable transfer bags in the postal industry in the entire region have basically reached 100%. Packaging waste recycling devices that meet national or local standards have basically covered all business outlets in the region. The rate of e-commerce express packages no longer requiring secondary packaging, the proportion of purchasing and using packaging materials that meet standards, and the proportion of packaging operations in accordance with regulations have remained stable at over 95%, and the application rate of recyclable express packaging has reached over 95% The recycling and reuse of corrugated cardboard boxes continues to increase.
The Inner Mongolia Bureau stated that the next step will be to actively innovate governance methods, improve governance capabilities, guide postal and express delivery enterprises in the entire region to fulfill their corporate responsibilities, gather the joint efforts of government and enterprises, and coordinate to promote carbon reduction, pollution reduction, green expansion, and growth, promoting green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of the industry.
Six major brand delivery enterprises, including Jingdong Logistics, SF Express, Postal EMS, Yuantong Express, Yunbida Express and Zhongtong Express, participated in the forum.
