On December 7, 2022, the initiators of "Plastic Pollution and Environmental Sustainable Plastic Trade" (IDP) held the fourth informal dialogue in 2022. The meeting was hosted by Jose Valencia, Ambassador of Ecuador, and more than 120 representatives from WTO members, international organizations, non-governmental organizations and academia attended the meeting. Ambassador Li Chenggang attended the meeting and delivered a speech, thanking WTO members and stakeholders for their active participation in IDP over the past year, pointing out that IDP should continue to strengthen cooperation with other international organizations in the next step, discuss specific topics in due time, continue to promote the participation of least developed countries, small island developing countries and other developing members, and strive to play the unique role of WTO in the international process. The conveners of the three IDP groups reported their discussions over the past year. More than 20 members and representatives of some international organizations made speeches, fully affirmed the great progress made by IDP in the past year, and put forward suggestions on the work of IDP next year.
