We are promoting plans to reduce the use of native plastics throughout the entire operational process and accelerating the adoption of more sustainable packaging solutions. SHEIN is increasing the use of recyclable components in plastic bags and continuing to explore plastic free alternatives.

As part of the packaging improvement initiative, all packages sent by SHEIN to EU countries and the UK are using recycled plastic express bags. This express bag contains 50% recycled PE plastic, which is produced by a waste recycling process. The importance of the plastic circular economy continues to grow and can generate waste savings benefits at all stages of the product lifecycle. Compared to native plastics, PE plastics can be continuously recycled, minimizing the use of raw materials, and requiring less energy and water for production. By the end of this year, SHEIN's initiative is expected to save over 319 tons of raw plastic.

In addition, starting from August 2022, all products of the high-end brand MOTF under SHEIN Group will be packaged in 100% recycled PE plastic bags. This measure is expected to save 3 tons of plastic particles per month. In the future, packaging bags used by SHEIN, ROMWE, and other SHEIN brands will gradually be replaced with packaging bags containing more environmentally friendly materials.

This globally recognized certification supports the traceability of recycled materials at all stages of the supply chain and requires strict social and environmental compliance. The GRS standard is managed by Textile Exchange, a global non-profit organization that leads the fashion industry in adopting more sustainable materials.
